On 27th September, Iratxe Menchaca (AZTI) and Laura Zubiate (BiMEP) represented the SafeWAVE project at the OREAgua event, organised by TECNALIA Research & Innovation as part of the ORE4citizens initiative. They presented a card game developed under the Education and Public Engagement activities.
OREAgua was created as part of the ORE4citizens initiative, led by more than 60 women scientists in the Basque Country. The initiative aims to:
1) Raise awareness of the effects of climate change on our coastlines.
2) Show the role of marine renewable energies in combating climate change.
3) Highlight the global leadership of the Basque industry in this sector and the opportunity it presents for society and the planet.
We are proud to contribute to this important event, which showcases the potential of marine renewable energy in the fight against climate change.
